If you are one of those people who raised an eyebrow about my election to the WA Parliament, I don't blame you. It came as a bit of a surprise to me as well.
At 27 years of age, I had no prior political experience. I live in Rockingham and have worked in retail for most of my life. I have never had any grand political aspirations.
But as I said in my maiden speech, what I lack in experience, I make up for in conviction. And as the first elected to state parliament from a libertarian political party, I have a lot to say.
As a libertarian, I believe you should be free to live your life as you see fit, free from unnecessary interference from the government. You should be free to smoke, eat, drink and spend your money as you like.
During my time in parliament, I hope to plant the seeds for a new libertarian movement in WA, and I believe the time is right.
If you believe as I do in the enduring values of small government, low taxes and individual responsibility then I ask that you join me in my fight for liberty.
